MelodicallyIT had the pleasure of chatting with DeeJay PartyAllWknd about his future business endeavors since his recent move to Atlanta, GA.

With his prior connections he put himself out there by hitting the scene with business cards, resumes and attending various events giving him an opportunity to network .

During our interview he mentions how it feels being in a room with like minded people, "networking out here has been pretty simple, pretty easy!"

The power of trusting your resume and networking is impactful and helped make PartyAllWknd's move from Louisville, KY a fairly smooth one. Recently "retiring" from being a DJ to focus on being a filmmaker, he is part founder and creator of Hype!Vision Studios. From that production web-series and short films such as Techniqolor, Frat House, Facemask and more.

The screening tour begins in Atlanta, GA with a SOLD OUT event on March 18, 2023 at the Cinevision Cooperation.

Tickets for the Louisville event are expected to go on sale Friday March 24 and can be purchased at eventbrite.com.

Here's a look at the trailer for the short film Savage.

PartyAllWknd would like for you to be excited on what to expect from the film as it leads into other future projects.

It has been a while since the city of Louisville's well-known weekly open mic event took place. In May 2022, the event went on a hiatus for several reasons such as the lack of having the right resources to operate the event consistently.

After surviving the rift and rafts of Covid-19 restrictions and several different venue business changes...it is now safe to say that the Thursday weekly night event known as The Louisville Vibe.... is back!!

We had a chance to speak with the curator/artist Sasha Renee and her business partner KeAngelo Raymond (502pac) Tuesday evening.

The two tuned in with us on what you can expect when attending the relaunch of the open mic event.

On Thursday February 2, 2023 the event returns at its' new venue, Habana Blues located on Preston Highway in Louisville, KY.

It is a venue where people attending do not have to go home right after the show is over . Instead, there is an opportunity for them to attend "The After Vibe" event. A new offer for those who wish to stay a while network and drink.

Other performances of the night include comedian Thomas Jackson, rapper Marc Dinero, Just La and many more.

Tickets for both events are on sale at louisvillevibe.eventbrite.com

Louisville's own teen rap group The Real Young Prodigys' (TRYP) are known for creating music that brings on both conversation, controversy and overall change.

TRYP's style of music delivers relative messages that impact our world today. It's the "land that was stolen and home of the caged," the group focus on topics ranging from poverty, hair discrimination and injustice within the black community.

In 2021, their single "CROWN" influence the passing of the CROWN Act Ordinance in Louisville, Kentucky. A policy that changes ways of how one should not be discriminated against because of their hair within any work or school environment.

With their new single "Ridin' Around With the Green (RAWTG)" focuses on the issues of mass incarceration and criminalization of marijuana within our community.

The song is available now on Soundcloud and other music platforms.

'RAWTG' film releases on October 20, 2022.

The film is shot in Atlanta, GA directed by Nolan Hubers-Rhoades, with footage from the state of Georgia's first licensed black-owned hemp farm The Green Toad. Organizer Nyree Clayton-Taylor mentions during a viral sneak peak of the film how much, "the kids must always lead with data."

The Cannabis industry in the U.S. reached a record high of $25 billion revenue in 2021. Cannabis is one of the fastest growing industries for both medical and adult use. (Vox, 2022)

Members of TRYP research the percentage of black owned cannabis businesses and were able to learn more about hemp and cannabis products while attending an Atlanta Hemp festival.
